Our work area is the Bhagwanpur Block Haridwar region, which includes Bhagwanpur, Raipur, chualli, Puhana, Iqbalpur, Jhabreda, the main industrial area where approximately 85,000 migrants workers are employed. Among these workers, some migrants are engaging in risky behavior. In response, the provided information about HIV/AIDS to the Village Development Society, along with free testing for HIV. If any migrant tests positive, our organization provides counseling and makes every possible effort to ensure they receive ART medicine & treatment and are linked to necessary healthcare services.
Works on HIV/AIDS with Migrants
- Migrants in this project for awareness of HIV/AIDS.
- Motivating to uses of condoms.
- Organizing health camps and meetings with Migrants.
- Providing better counseling and motivating for HIV testing.
- We reach out to migrants through IPC and BCC session.
- During HIV testing, any patient found to be HIV positive is connected to ART and provided with complete assistance.
GOAL
The NACP Phase-V will take the national AIDS and STD response towards the attainment of United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals 3.3 of ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic as a public health threat by 2030 through a comprehensive package of prevention, detection and treatment services.
